There are many advantages, if you become a registered user. Firstly and most important for people who are looking for free images, the Getty Images Logo (watermark) will be removed from images. Secondly, I don’t know if they still do it, but when I first registered, they sent me several big posters via mail. It’s worth it, believe me. Thirdly, you can “add items to your shopping cart, images to your Lightboxes, film clips to your Clipbins, and submit image and film research requests.”
